New purchases

Hi guys!
I'm really sorry that I haven't been posting much this autumn. I've just recently gone back to school and i've been getting piles and piles of homework and coursework to do so i've kind of been neglecting blogging for quite a while. But I am back and determined to write more blog posts! :)

Anyway, during October half-term I went to visit the Designer Outlet at Wembley Park in London. If you don't know what it is, it's basically a shopping village right next to Wembley Stadium, full of restaurants and outlet shops that are both new and well-known on the high street e.g. Marks and Spencer, Next, Adidas and even a Lindt shop and 9- screen cinema!
Casa di Borse purse
Originally £65
Outlet price £8

I love this purse and i'm glad that I bought it, especially for that price! I think that the colourful embroidery looks great and the purse also has over 20 different compartments inside that could be used to for cards, receipts, coins and I.D, which is very handy to have!
Purple and pink wellies by Rainblock
Originally £24.99
Outlet price £14.99

I don't know about you, but as the winter season it approaching i'm beginning to wonder when we're going to get the heavy rain showers and snow storms. And i'll admit, wellington boots were at the top of my list of necessities this season. Luckily, I found these, and they are brilliant! I struggle to find a pair that both slides on AND off easily (as i normally have to get my mum to pull them off for me or I spend about half an hour sitting on the floor rolling around trying to take them off and trying not to split my jeans), and also goes over jeans and thick fluffy socks- but these have made all those troubles disappear and I love them!
Here is their website for some more information: http://www.london-designer-outlet.com/
They even have their own blog on there you can look at! Which shows what new shops are available and  if there are any up-and-coming events happening, which will be a good read if you are interested in fashion or if you want to know if there are any events happening when you visit there etc...

Moving away from the designer outlet, I have been slightly obsessed with internet shopping. Like i've said in one of my previous blogs, I love looking at the New Look website to see what's new in and to see if I can get any bargains, and this time round wasn't any different!
I've been wanting to get a new winter coat for absolutely ages but they have always been a bit out of my price range, so when I saw that the coat I had been eyeing up was on sale I had to get it! It is a slim fit and is great at keeping me warm when I walk to school. I like the fact that the zip is hidden and you can wear it with any piece of clothing underneath e.g. skirts, jeans, jumpers, dresses etc.
Dark Grey Jersey Hooded Concealed Zip Coat
Originally £39.99
Sale price £29.50
Also while I was browsing, I saw this kimono was on sale too. Although it's not the weather to be wearing it anymore that didn't really bother me! It's a really nice fabric and I also like the fact that it's quite long, so if you want something to cover your bum this is great! I also like that there are so many different ways in which you can wear it. For example, you can wear it over some jeans and a crop top, or if you're going out to a party you can wear it over a black play-suit or a lovely maxi dress. The possibilities are endless!
Cream Lace Longline Kimono
Originally £22.99
Sale price £9.00
The final purchase I made from New Look was this lovely check skirt. Although this wasn't on sale, I have never really had a skirt like this before and recently i've been wanting to challenge my fashion style ( if that even makes sense!). Another big reason as to why I got this is because i've been completely obsessed with Rachel Green's style of clothes on the popular comedy show Friends (if you have no idea what this is then seriously, why not?!) Her style is based around wearing checkers, crop tops, denim and turtle-neck jumpers, which I love as it seems to me that most of these are making a comeback to the fashion world, meaning that I can hopefully add some more 'Rachel Green inspiration' to my wardrobe-Yay!

Red Check Print Pencil Skirt
£14.99
I hoped your liked this blog and please feel free to comment your opinions below, i'd love to read them! Thank you for reading and i'll be sure to post again fairly soon!

My 18th Birthday!

Hey guys! So, I feel like its been such a long time since I last blogged that I feel quite ashamed of myself. My humble apologies to you all.

So, since I last blogged, many things have changed that have made it quite hard for me to find the time to blog again. One of these changes was that I went back to school! I'm now in my last year of A-Levels, which sounds absolutely crazy as it feels like year 7 was just yesterday. And another reason that I haven't found the time to blog is because it was my 18th birthday last Friday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!
It feels super weird to sit here and say that I have been on this planet for 18 years. Again, it only feels like yesterday I was a little 3 year old talking to myself in the photo booths at Boots and running in and out of shops giving my parents heart attacks haahaha! True story bro. Oh, how I miss being little.

So anyway, my 18th birthday was such a crazy day. The morning was a tad disappointing because I had to go to school, and nobody wants to go to school on their birthday... However, I wasn't there for the whole day so it started getting much better once I got home. In the evening, I had a slap up meal in Harvester and then had a party on the Saturday with my family and friends. :)

Overall I had the most splendid weekend spending it with my friends and family. To end, here are a few pictures of some of the presents I received. Who knows, maybe you'll see them in another post in the near future?! And as always, I would love to hear what you think, so comment below! :D

July Monthly Favourites

Schwarzkopf Professional Silhouette Super-hold Hairspray: Wow, that's a loooong name for hairspray. I never really use hairspray as I find it usually doesn't do anything to my hair, or makes it super noticeable I have it on. However, I purchased this hairspray after I had my hair highlighted and it has actually surprised me. I suppose you could say it 'does exactly what it says on the tin'. It distributes evenly through the hair so it dries fairly quickly and also maintains a long-lasting super hold. This hairspray also doesn't stick the hair together, making it easy to brush out and is great for coloured hair as it adds exceptional shine and helps to protect against colour fading. This has to be my favourite hairspray to date! Also, it's in an amazingly HUGE can, so it'll last for a very long time!

Dove Hair Therapy Heat Protect Spray: Seeing as I always straighten or curl my hair daily, i'm always running out of heat protection to spray onto it. I first saw this product when I was watching one of Zoella's hair videos and since then, I had been rummaging through the shops to try and find it and I was super happy when I did! Other than protecting your hair, this heat protect spray also smooths and nourishes your hair, leaving it smoother for longer and is great to use if you have frizzy hair or loads of fly-aways. It also has a lovely scent that lingers in your hair throughout the day!

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water: Now, I know i'm a bit late on the bandwagon for this one but oh well! This stuff is amazing and so gentle on my skin. I like the fact that it doesn't have any perfume added into it because then unlike some other products, it doesn't sting when you use it or have a horrible smell. In the past when i've purchased products that are supposed to be for sensitive skin, I end up with really bad blemishes or it dries my skin out completely- however, in my opinion this stuff is fantastic on sensitive skin because it doesn't do any of that. If your thinking about buying this product, go for it! I don't know why I took so long!

Vaseline Hand Cream: This has been one of my favourite hand creams for quite a while now. I purchased this item in a smaller version without thinking too much of it and I was so shocked at how great it is I had to buy the bigger version! My hands immediately looked healthier and the cream also strengthened my nails surprisingly well- meaning that my nails didn't break as easily and nail polish lasted a lot longer! It is also fast-absorbing and not greasy, so you don't have to wait too long before you can carry on with your day-to-day activities.

Ma-Dame by Jean Paul Gaultier: This is my favourite perfume EVER! I'm absolutely rubbish at explaining smells so i'm to even going to attempt too, but it's a very feminine fragrance and the smell lasts for a very long time! Also, the packaging is very sophisticated and mature. It's great to wear in summer or for special occasions!

Red Jeans by Versace: This is one of the very first perfumes I ever got and it is still one of my favourites! I guess you could call it vintage?! This perfume is a light, fruity and floral scent that I wear almost daily. I guess it's one of those perfumes that you either love or hate, and for me, it's a definite LOVE!

Baby Rose Jeans by Versace: This is again another Versace product and also another one of my first ever perfumes! In my opinion, this has quite a different smell compared to Red Jeans as it smells more floral and also smells a little bit like baby powder?! That doesn't stop me from wearing it though! This is great to wear either daily or for special occasions :)

Born Lippy from Body Shop: I got given this as a Christmas present and it's sooo fruity! I don't think i've ever had a fruitier lip balm before. It's also one of those lip balms that you just want to eat because it smells so good! *Mmmm... strawberries* Ahem, yeah, apart from smelling absolutely lovely it also gives your lips a slight red tint, which I think is fab for summertime.

Hope you liked reading this post, let me know what you think in the comments :)

My Ultimate Summer Playlist

When thinking about Summer, one of the first things that pop into my head is music, and in my opinion, EVERYBODY needs a Summer Playlist to listen too! Whether you like Country, R'n'B, Hip Hop or Rock music, there's bound to be songs you listen to throughout the year and think 'Hey, this will be great to listen to in Summer!' (Please don't say i'm the only one who thinks this!!)

Before Spotify was born, and back when I didn't have a clue on earth what YouTube was all about (if you're reading this have have no clue what BOTH of them are, I suggest you google them), I used Windows Media Player to download songs from my CD's- which I still have, and listen to now- and copy them onto my super retro Walkman! (And yes, I still have that too!)

But since then, I've now fully understood the purpose of Youtube and genuinely believe that Spotify has CHANGED MY LIFE! Like, can we give Spotify a round of applause? *claps* I'm sooo obsessed with it that I have 2 playlists- One for Random Songs and the other for Albums- that I listen to almost every single day.

-I think we've established now that I have no social life
And if you haven't established that yet, well you have now!
:)-

Here are a list of some of my favourite Summer Songs that i'll be listening to this Summer, either on Spotify or YouTube:
If you would like to look at more of the songs I listen to (because I don't think i've done my taste in music any justice), you can click here and here. However, you do need to be a Spotify user to view them.... :S

Sorry this is looooong, I do tend to ramble on a bit! I would love to read what you guys think about this post and/or whether you have any questions or even new songs you think I should check out- so feel free to comment below :)
Thanks for reading and I hope you found this somewhat helpful and inspired you to make a Summer Playlist too- if you haven't got one already!

Yin Yang Nails

I've recently been obsessed with my nails. Switching them up every couple of days with something new and different. I love experimenting with new designs and I find that painting my nails is quite therapeutic too!
Therefore, I wanted to show you guys how I accomplished these fab Yin Yang nails.

P.S. Sorry for the bad quality pictures, they looked fine on my phone :S
Start off with a base coat of your choice (as you can see, I opted for pink)
After your base coat has dried, dip a small nail brush into the other colour you have chosen and create a 'S' shape swirl diagonally across your nail- You could also do this with the nail polish brush if you are super super careful!
Then, use the nail varnish brush to cover one side of the 'S' shape swirl with the second colour you have selected
When the nail varnish has dried for a second time, use a small dotting tool (or the small brush from earlier) and create a dot in each side of the swirl. e.g. the pink dot inside the silver colour and vise versa.- Again, you could also do this with the nail polish brush if you're careful
Finally once the two dots have dried, go over the nail with some clear nail polish to help create shine and help your nail polish to last longer.
Psst... I know Yin Yang's are originally Black and White. I just felt like switching them up so they look unique and different :)

Again, i'm sorry for the rubbish pictures. Let me know what you think in the comments.
Go on, give it a go! :)

My Latest Purchases

I love cleaning out my bedroom as it means I find things that I've forgotten exist! Like a Topshop Gift card I found from Christmas! I always go onto clothes websites such as New Look, H&M, Asos and Topshop purely out of boredom- just to 'internet-window shop'. So when I found the Gift Card, instead of 'internet-window shopping' I thought i might go on the Topshop website to see if they have anything I like since I money on it to spend!

Anyway, as I was looking on their website I went into their Tall section (cause i'm like a giant lol) and browsed around for something that caught my eye. I also noticed they had a sale on some of their clothes as well, which I was pretty pleased about!
In the end, I found these lovely items and I just had to buy them!

Tall Crop Cami
£6.00
I've been wanting a Crop Cami Top for absolutely ages as it will go well with soooo many items in my wardrobe. I did want the top in white too but they were all sold out *sad face* This type of fabric is so soft and doesn't stick to your skin in hot weather, which is great as it means you won't get agitated or annoyed on super hot days! It's just one of those tops that you can style in various ways, and I love that because it means you don't just have to wear it in one particular way all the time.
Tall Check Denim Leggings
£7.00
The second item of clothing I bought from Topshop were these lovely check denim leggings. Again, I've wanted a pair of these for ages but they were a bit out of my budget, so when I saw them for sale my brain automatically screamed "BARGAIN!" haha
I like the fact that they are tartan patterned and I love the colours printed on them! They immediately caught my eye! Another thing I like about these leggings are that I have never owned a pair like these before, thus i'm excited to see what they'll look like on. Prior to that, their super soft! Also, I think I've slightly fallen in love with them... Is that weird? :P
P.s. Sorry for the bad quality photographs! They will get better lol

Trip to the University of Bedfordshire

On Tuesday, I went on a school trip to the University of Bedfordshire in Luton. It was basically a 'University FĂȘte', consisting of almost 200 stools that each represented a different university from places all over England, Scotland and Wales. It was held in a marquee on the uni field, with a live band playing (though in my opinion they were pants!) and a buffet full of burgers, hot dogs and other fĂȘte foods that smelt delicious. Everytime we walked passed our mouths watered at the smell. Mmm...

We also got the chance to go to a few of the seminars that were taking place, so we could get a feel for what our lessons would be like if we decided to go to University. For example, they had seminars taking place for courses such as Law, Nursing and Midwifery and Drama and Performance. They also had one called Studying in Scotland- Although, we missed that one! *sad face*

Overall, it was a lovely day. We had a 2 hour lunch break, so to pass the time me and some of my friends decided to sit on the field and chill, seeing as we had great weather for once! Also, i was pretty chuffed at the fact I didn't get sunburnt.. Success! :D

Here is a collage of a few photo's that my friend and I took throughout the day. Enjoy!
